After beating Juan Diego in their season opener, the Spartan tennis team took their top players to St. George for the annual Duel in the Desert Tournament. With both varsity and JV playing in the competitive level 1 division, Murray had their strongest showing in four years. The Spartans claimed fourth among 12 teams from across the state, narrowly missing third by two points in a tie-breaker set. Coach Perschon would also like to call out impressive wins by Aidan Cheney (1st singles) and Erik Marchant (2nd singles) against the likes of Bonneville, Stansbury, and American Fork. Congrats to the entire tennis squad for a great start to the season.
