Murray hosted a formidable Brighton team featuring the defending state champs for boys. Boys and girls combined for a score of Murray 113 vs. Brighton 227.
The Spartan girls owned the 400 free relay, winning by nearly 9 seconds:

Uso Tagoa’i (Sr.) scored a team-high 15 points for the girls with wins in both of her individual events. She set her second consecutive PR in the 200 IM, leaving behind the nearest challenger by 6.4 seconds. Then she held off a closing Brighton swimmer in the 100 free for a razor-thin victory of 1/100 of a second.
Brooke Horton (Jr.) scored 6 of her 7 points by winning the 100 breast, one of her specialties. She was never threatened, separating from Brighton swimmers by nearly 7 seconds.
Team points were also scored by Alejandra Uvario (8), Stephanie Poprzenovic (8), Sara Gratton (6), Kalie Lam (6), Tylee Peak (5), and Izzy Wright (5) in addition to Riley Thompson, Sarah Walton, Sierra Peterson, and Rylee Snow.
Team leaders for the boys included Lincoln Yospe (8.5), Holden Cheney (7.5), Gavin Holmberg (6.5), Tyler Jacobsen (6), and Devin Jessop (5). Points were also scored by Ethan Leonard, Micah Black, Michael Correa, Joey Horne, Will Taylor, Case Elliott, and Matthew Uvario.
