In ultra-competitive Region 6, the Spartans confronted an Olympus squad that currently owns the fastest times in 5A for five of the six relays. Spartan girls battled respectably to a finish of Murray 116 vs. Olympus 169. Boys and girls combined for a score of Murray 203.5 vs. Olympus 362.5.
Kalie Lam (So.) raced to first place in the 200 free, leading a wave of Murray swimmers that claimed the top four spots.
Point leaders for the girls team were Ally Uvario (14.5), Uso Tagoa’i (13.5), Sarah Walton (13), Tylee Peak (11.5), Kalie Lam (10.5), Sara Gratton (10), and Stephanie Poprzenovic (10). Points were also earned by Brooke Horton, Izzy Wright, Emma Brimley, Lauren Bernstein, Rylee Snow, Maryn Stone, Rachel Wilcox, Sierra Peterson, and Janissa Montilla.
Point leaders for the boys team were Gavin Holmberg (13), Devin Jessop (12), and Holden Cheney (11). Points were also scored by Teagan Drury, Will Taylor, Tyler Jacobsen, Lincoln Yospe, Ethan Leonard, Case Elliott, Matthew Uvario, Joey Horne, Robert Jorgensen, Micah Black, Skylar Galt, and Liam Morris.
