Murray Spartans fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 23-0 loss to West on Wednesday. West scored on a home run by Kamora Masina, an error, and a walk by B Tapusoa in the first inning.

A double by Alyssa McDonald in the first inning was a positive for Murray Spartans.
Mikayla Ulibarri pitched West to victory. She went five innings, allowing zero runs on seven hits, striking out ten and walking one.
Kayleigh Gillespie took the loss for Murray Spartans. She went four and a third innings, allowing 17 runs on 16 hits and striking out one.
West tallied two home runs on the day. Masina had a long ball in the first inning. Daisy Taloa had a homer in the fifth inning.

West saw the ball well today, racking up 20 hits in the game. Kensey Lopati, Taloa, Masina, Josie Vaenuku, Shakel Alofipo, Ulibarri, Huntyr Ava, and Cheyenne Sue’sue each racked up multiple hits for West. West didn’t commit a single error in the field. Alofipo had the most chances in the field with ten.
